How to Cancel Fubo

Quick answer

You can cancel Fubo by signing in at fubo.tv, going to My Account → Subscription, and selecting Cancel. Keep going until you see a cancellation confirmation. Fubo says you may be shown a discount offer during cancellation; your account is not canceled yet if you are still on that offer screen.

If you subscribed through Apple, Google Play, Roku, Amazon, or another billing provider, you may need to cancel through that provider instead of Fubo directly. Apple and Google both note that subscriptions bought through their stores must be managed in their subscription settings.

Before you cancel Fubo

Before you start, check who is billing you. This matters because deleting the Fubo app, signing out, or removing the channel from your TV usually does not stop billing.

Look for:

  • The email receipt from Fubo, Apple, Google Play, Roku, Amazon, or PayPal.

  • The billing name on your bank or card statement.

  • Your next renewal date.

  • Whether you are in a free trial.

  • Whether your subscription was started on the Fubo website, a mobile app, or a streaming device.

Also check whether you still want access through the end of your billing period. Fubo’s public App Store response says that when a user cancels after being charged, they generally still have access until the end of the prepaid month.

How to cancel Fubo on the website

Use this path if you subscribed directly through Fubo.

  1. Go to fubo.tv.

  2. Sign in to your Fubo account.

  3. Open My Account.

  4. Select Subscription.

  5. Scroll to the bottom of the screen.

  6. Select Cancel.

  7. Follow the prompts.

  8. If Fubo shows you a discount or retention offer, choose the option that continues cancellation.

  9. Keep going until you see confirmation that your subscription is canceled.

Fubo’s help page says users may see an offer to keep the subscription. If you see that screen, the cancellation is not complete until you choose Cancel Subscription rather than accepting the offer.

How to cancel Fubo on iPhone or iPad

Use this path if Fubo is billed through Apple.

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad.

  2. Tap your name at the top.

  3. Tap Subscriptions.

  4. Select Fubo.

  5. Tap Cancel Subscription.

  6. Confirm the cancellation.

Apple says that if you cannot find the subscription, you should search your email for an Apple receipt and check which Apple Account was used. If there is no Apple receipt, the subscription may have been bought from another company, and you need to contact the company that bills you.

How to cancel Fubo on Android or Google Play

Use this path if Fubo is billed through Google Play.

  1. Open the Google Play Store.

  2. Tap your profile icon.

  3. Tap Payments & subscriptions.

  4. Tap Subscriptions.

  5. Select Fubo.

  6. Tap Cancel subscription.

  7. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Google says that if you cannot find the subscription, it may be attached to a different Google account, so check any other Google accounts you use.

How to cancel Fubo through Roku

Use this path if Roku is billing you.

  1. Go tomy.roku.com/subscriptions.

  2. Sign in to your Roku account.

  3. Find Fubo under Active subscriptions.

  4. Select Manage subscription.

  5. Choose Turn off auto-renew.

  6. Confirm the cancellation.

Roku says canceled subscriptions usually remain available until the current billing cycle ends.

Common Fubo cancellation roadblocks

“I do not see a cancel button.”

You may be looking in the wrong billing account. Check whether Fubo is billed through Apple, Google Play, Roku, Amazon, PayPal, or directly through Fubo.

“Fubo offered me a discount.”

That is a retention flow. It does not always mean anything is wrong. It means Fubo is giving you a save attempt before you leave. Read carefully and keep going until the account says canceled.

“I deleted the app but I am still being charged.”

Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription. You need to cancel the billing agreement through Fubo or the billing provider.

“I canceled on Fubo, but Apple or Roku is still charging me.”

That usually means the subscription was not billed directly by Fubo. Cancel through the billing provider shown on your receipt or card statement.

How to confirm Fubo is actually canceled

Before you close the tab, check for at least one of these:

  • A confirmation email from Fubo or your billing provider.

  • Subscription status showing canceled or expiring.

  • No future renewal date.

  • Apple, Google Play, or Roku showing the subscription as canceled.

  • A screenshot of the cancellation confirmation page.

Save the screenshot and confirmation email until you are sure no future charge appears.

What to do if Fubo charges you after cancellation

  1. Check your bank statement to see who processed the charge.

  2. Search your email for “Fubo,” “fuboTV,” “Apple receipt,” “Google Play,” “Roku,” “Amazon,” or “PayPal.”

  3. Sign in to that billing provider and check active subscriptions.

  4. Contact Fubo support if Fubo billed you directly.

  5. Contact Apple, Google Play, Roku, Amazon, or PayPal if they processed the charge.

  6. Ask for a refund if the charge appears to be a mistake, but do not assume one is guaranteed.

  7. Save screenshots, emails, dates, and cancellation confirmation.

  8. Consider a card dispute only after reasonable direct attempts, unless the charge is clearly unauthorized.

The Not-Subscribed note

Fubo is a good example of why cancellation guides need to separate the service from the billing provider. You may watch Fubo in one app, subscribe on another device, and get billed by a third party you forgot about.

The tricky part is not always the cancel button. Sometimes it is figuring out which company owns the billing switch.

That is subscription friction: extra steps, confusion, or detours between “I want to stop paying” and “billing has actually stopped.” The Not-Subscribed playbook recommends starting cancellation guides with the fastest useful answer, separating steps by billing path, and reminding readers to confirm cancellation before moving on.
