Quick Answer
You can cancel Target Circle 360 by signing into your Target account, going to the Membership section, and selecting the option to cancel your membership before it renews. If you need help, you can also contact Target Guest Services at 1-800-591-3869. According to Target’s official Target Circle 360 page, cancellation must be completed before your renewal date to avoid being charged for another membership period.
Before You Cancel Target Circle 360
Before canceling, take a minute to check a few details.
• Verify your renewal date.
• Confirm whether you are on a monthly or annual plan.
• Understand that canceling stops future renewals but generally does not end your current membership benefits immediately.
• Check whether you are currently using benefits like free same-day delivery, free shipping, or extended return windows.
• Review Target’s membership terms regarding refunds.
According to Target Circle Terms and Conditions, Target Circle 360 membership fees are generally non-refundable, and your membership remains active until the end of the current membership period after cancellation.
One important distinction: canceling your Target Circle 360 membership does not cancel your free Target Circle account, and it does not cancel a Target Circle Card if you have one.

Common Cancellation Roadblocks
You Cannot Find the Cancel Button
Many users look under Target Circle rewards instead of Target Circle 360 membership settings. Make sure you are viewing the paid membership section rather than the free Target Circle program.
You Deleted the App
Deleting the Target app does not cancel your membership. Membership billing is tied to your Target account, not the app installed on your phone.
You Are in a Free Trial
If you signed up through a promotional trial, you still need to cancel before the trial ends to avoid being charged. According to Target’s membership terms, free trials automatically convert into paid memberships unless canceled before renewal.
You Expected a Refund
Target’s terms state that membership fees are generally non-refundable. Canceling prevents future renewals but typically does not generate a prorated refund for unused time.
How to Confirm Target Circle 360 Is Actually Canceled
Do not stop after clicking a cancel button.
Look for:
• A cancellation confirmation screen.
• A confirmation email from Target.
• A membership status showing canceled or expiring.
• A renewal date that has been removed or changed.
• A screenshot of the confirmation page for your records.
Saving proof can help if there is ever a billing dispute later.
What to Do If You Are Still Charged
If you receive another charge after canceling:
Check your confirmation email and screenshots.
Verify the cancellation date.
Review your Target account membership status.
Contact Target Guest Services.
Request an explanation of the charge and provide proof of cancellation.
If the charge appears unauthorized and you cannot resolve it with Target after reasonable attempts, you may need to contact your card issuer for assistance.
Target Circle 360 vs. Target Circle: Know the Difference
A common source of confusion is the difference between Target Circle and Target Circle 360.
Target Circle is Target’s free loyalty program.
Target Circle 360 is the paid membership that includes benefits such as same-day delivery, shipping perks, and additional member benefits. Canceling Target Circle 360 does not automatically remove your free Target Circle account.
The Not-Subscribed Note
Target Circle 360 is a good example of negative option billing. The membership continues until you actively cancel before renewal. The actual cancellation process is relatively straightforward compared to some subscription services, but the biggest source of confusion is often figuring out the difference between free Target Circle membership and the paid Target Circle 360 subscription.
Whenever you sign up for a free trial or recurring membership, it is worth checking the renewal date immediately and deciding whether you want to keep auto-renewal turned on. Future-you will appreciate it.
